If you’ve ever attended a European BMW R1100S Meeting, chances are you’ve already met Brunetto—or at least experienced the event he helped create.

A lifelong enthusiast of the BMW R1100S, Brunetto has owned and ridden the model for around fifteen years. During the COVID pandemic, he founded the first Italian Facebook group dedicated to the R1100S and later helped establish a network of international groups with one simple goal: bringing owners together, both online and on the road.

His passion extends far beyond the motorcycle itself. For Brunetto, the R1100S is a vehicle for friendship. Every European Meeting is built around spectacular roads, local food and shared experiences, but above all around the people who travel hundreds—or even thousands—of kilometres to be there.

Organising these gatherings is no small task. Routes have to be planned, hotels booked, restaurants coordinated and riders from many different countries looked after. Brunetto takes all of this upon himself, often admitting that his biggest worry is simply making sure nobody gets left behind.

Perhaps the most touching part of his story is that the BMW R1100S changed his life in more ways than one. Through the motorcycle and the community it created, Brunetto not only found lifelong friends across Europe—he also met the woman who would become the love of his life.
